Another must is a visit to one of the local wineries. Santorini is surrounded by vast vineyards, producing excellent strong wines from the ancient times. As the human presence on the island seems to go back 3.600 years, it would be more than interesting to visit the Archaeological Museum of Thira at Fira, the Ancient Thira and the excavations of Akrotiri, one of the most important archaeological sites of the Aegean.

Trekking is also popular in Santorini with many beautiful paths that you can follow. Our favourite path is the one leaving from Oia village and leading to Fira with a total distance of 9 kms, out of which the largest part you walk near the edge of the Caldera. Last but not least, we can suggest you to experience a scuba-diving which is renown in Santorini as the waters are crystal clear and there excellent visibility. Experience a dive near the volcano which is filled with underwater volcanic activity.

Due to the architecture and land formation that the hotel is situated (at the edge of the Caldera), we do not accept children aged 3 to 12 years old for safety reasons.

Santorini is one of the most popular travel destinations of Greece. The season begins from the beginning of April and ends at the beginning of November. Due to its mild climate, you can visit the island throughout the season.

The hotel is located at a distance of 16 kms from the airport and 19 kms from the port of Athinios.

There is no restaurant at the hotel premises, however due to the fact that the hotel is located right in the center of the village of Oia there is a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and shops in walking distance from the hotel.

Unfortunately due the fact that the hotel is built on the edge of the Caldera, it is not possible for the hotel to install the necessary equipment in order to be able to host people with disabilities.

In order to access the hotel from the main pedestrian walkway you will have to walk approximately 30 steps until you reach the reception and thereafter in order to access the main building you will need to walk an additional 20 steps.

There is a public parking area at approximately three minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Unfortunately there is no breakfast available at Chroma Suites.

The hotel has a porter who assists the guests with their luggage both upon arrival and departure at/from the hotel.

The nearest beach to the hotel is Baxedes/Koloumbos beach which is located in the northern part of the island approximately 4 kms from the hotel. Furthermore, you may visit the black beach where you can find plenty of beach bars and restaurants as well as a variety of water sport activities. The black beach is located approximately 30 kms from the hotel. Another noteworthy beach is the red beach which is famous for its unique landscape and its clear blue waters.

There is no direct sunset view from the hotel, however the best spot to watch the sunset is merely 5-7 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
